ROMAN WALL (S. I) / GATE OF SAN FRANCISCO (S. XVI)

Declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument on June 3, 1931

The Gate of San Francisco was named for being the passage to the Discalced Franciscan Convent located outside the walls. Structurally, showing unique entrance arch that is protected by a solitary cubic tower on its left flank. Inside is covered with a brick vault on an arc.
