CHURCH OF THE MERCY

This church was probably built in the sixteenth century or early seventeenth century.Is located in the town of Póvoa and Meadas, Castelo de Vide

The church consists of three parts: nave, chancel and vestry. The nave is rectangular, trapezoidal roof is based on wooden slats on beams. On the north wall the main door topped by a rectangular window opens, on the south triumphal arch semicircular granite leaning against the jamb capitals crowning opens. On the left side a pulpit was built, on the east wall is the access door to the sacristy
