CHURCH OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN This chapel was ordered to do by one Simon de la Cruz, who became a hermit who founded the home, dying on January 10, 1669. It was built in the seventeenth century and modified in the eighteenth. The church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is located in a place called Señora del Carmen, on the right bank of the Ribeira da Vide, 1300m northeast of Castelo de Vide, on top of a small hill.
