CHURCH OF SAN AMARO The chapel was built in some suburbs of land leading to the Fountain of Villa, in the fourteenth century, today street of Santo Amaro. Later passed under the dominion of Mercy of Castelo de Vide, whom the Board of Directors in 1534, which was granted land around it, to build houses for the treatment of patients in need. The present church of Santo Amaro is a unique gem of purity of baroque style in the Alto Alentejo. Everything in this temple is the balanced dignity, full of grandeur. All ornaments are part of this set. Very provided in its entirety: the nave, the altar and the sacristy is one of the most beautiful temples in Castelo de Vide.
