CASTLE OF CAMPONAIOR Castle of Campomaior Located in the highest part, south of the town, Campomaior Castle offers to the visitor a privileged perspective of the village and the surrounding landscape. The Castle, Islamic founding, was restructured during the reign of D. Dinis, having remained virtually unchanged until the fifteenth / sixteenth centuries. During this period, in the reign of D. João II and D. Manuel, the castle underwent major alterations and extension work remodeling.
