HERMITAGES OUR LADY OF ANGUISH A small chapel built in masonry slate and simple design. It is one of many religious buildings that abounded in the historic center. Various building elements indicate that the chapel was to be built in the seventeenth century, as the coat of arms decoration and design of the building itself. The interior has a single nave, chaired by a classicist Baroque polychrome altarpiece, simulating marble effect with the image of Our Lady of Anguish. On the facade, an arc with granite pillars gives access to the building.GalleryDetailsMapAddress: las Angustias Street, w/n.Town: AlcántaraCountry: España View the embedded image gallery online at: http://www.porterrasraianas.com/en/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=26003&itemid=435&catid=149#sigFreeIdc97a766b19 JavaScript must be enabled in order for you to use Google Maps.
